Tuna
- Tuna remains non existent this week. We were hoping that supply would have picked up this week, but unfortunately that has not happened. We have been able to import outstanding quality fish from South Africa.
Swordfish
- Supply remains low though we have seen slight improvements in the market. We are importing fish from South Africa and Ecuador.
Cod and Ground Fish
- Just in time for Mother's Day, Halibut supply has loosened up this week.
- Wild Striped Bass remains inconsistent. Fishing has ended in Delaware. New areas will be opening soon but until that happens availability will be limited.
Crab
- Fresh Blue Lump and Jumbo Lump Crabmeat remain limited and the prices are still incredibly high.
- Covid related supply chain interruptions have caused disturbance in the Pasteurized crab market where everything from processing to transport has broken down. Supply has slowed to a trickle and prices are up.
Lobster Meat
- What is left to say? If anything has changed since last week it is not for the better. Supply of all iterations of lobster meat are unavailable.
