Thanksgiving

Let lobsters adorn your tables!

We will be closed on Thursday, November 25th in honor of Thanksgiving. We will resume regular delivery service Friday, November 26th.

While the turkey clearly takes center stage on everyone's Thanksgiving table, remember that Plymouth is a coastal town and local finfish, shellfish and lobsters all found their way to the first Thanksgiving table. Maybe it is time to reject the turkey and all of its coma-inducing tryptophan for an all seafood feast! Just a suggestion.

Crab

  • We have just received a large shot of Pasteurized Crabmeat. Hopefully, this is the beginning of a stabilizing market.
  • 6/9 King Crab Legs are also back in stock as are 16/20 and 20/24 counts.
  • The supply of Fresh Lump and Jumbo has remained consistent.
  • Stone Crab Claw season has started.

Tuna

  • Frozen Tuna products like Saku Block and Steaks remain elusive. We have only been able to grab small amounts here and there. Frozen Hamachi is also difficult to find at the moment. We do have Fresh Hamachi available.
  • Fresh Tuna supply is also scarce. We do have imports from South Africa arriving for this weekend.
  • We also have a nice supply of Fresh Albacore. These fish range in size from 30-50lbs.

Cod and Ground Fish

  • After storms in Iceland caused decreased Cod landings last week, the supply has rebounded nicely this week.
  • Jumbo Fluke, Wild Striped Bass, Black Sea Bass, and American Reds are all in good supply.
  • Halibut supply has dropped off this week. Availability for the weekend will be spotty.

Shrimp, Octopus & Squid

  • Frozen Shrimp prices continue to rise. The effect of Covid on inventory levels, transportation, and fishing has been devastating. The recovery will take a long time.

Specialty Items

  • Uni has become impossible to get. Much of the harvest is being sold to companies in Japan who are willing to pay a premium for both Uni trays and Live Urchin.
