Kusmi Tea

A difference you must taste to believe.

As the temperatures begin to drop, nothing is more comforting than a soothing cup of tea, especially when you brew it using Kusmi Tea. Recognized as one of the premiere tea houses in the world, Kusmi is focused on creative blends to please all palates from the robust Prince Vladimir to the delicate BB Detox, and the elegant Lovely Night, there is a blend for everyone.

Originally founded in St. Petersburg, Russia in 1867 by Pavel Kousmichoff. Kousmichoff began his career as a tea merchant before opening a small eponymous named tea shop that soon became the talk of St. Petersburg, and a favorite amongst Russian nobility. But, in 1917, just as the Russian Revolution was getting underway Koumichoff’s was forced to flee to Paris, where Kousmichoff’s was reborn as Kusmi. While the name may have changed, the commitment to using only the finest quality tea has existed for over 150 years.

Cod and Ground Fish

  • Storms and continued bad weather in Iceland has cause the Cod supply to tighten.
  • Black Bass, Jumbo Fluke, Halibut, Red Snapper and Grouper are all in good supply.

Scallops

The Scallop market remains competitive. U10 & 10/20 landings have been low and vendors are fighting for all available product which has caused a large increase in price. It seems that prices will continue to rise as we get into the holiday season.

Crab

The Covid supply chain disruptor continues to wreak havoc on the Pasteurized Crab Market. With a lack of labor, transportation and crowded ports getting product has been a nightmare. We should be receiving more by the middle of next week.

Shrimp, Octopus & Squid

Like Pasteurized Crabmeat, Frozen Shrimp has been plagued with covid related disruptions which has caused the price to rise.

Bordier Butter

As we have previously mentioned Bordier has decided that they will no longer be producing the 20 gram and 25 gram cones, squares and rounds for the foreseeable future. They will also be limiting how many 125 gram bricks we are able to order. We will be bringing Beillevaire as an alternative.
